Description
Success in business is deliberate, not coincidental. Despite its importance, many construction companies overlook strategic planning. This course, tailored for construction professionals, will enlighten participants on the transformative power of strategic planning. The course narrative revolves around a hypothetical $25M mechanical construction company ready to scale its operations and explores how management strategizes for growth.
Planning creates a forward-focused vision, provides an action guide, directs everyone's actions toward desired outcomes, improves resource utilization, provides motivation and commitment, sets performance standards and allows flexibility. Strategic planning is a lot of work, but the benefits are lasting.
Combining strategic planning with a focus on financial management, participants become equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to develop robust business plans, make informed strategic decisions, and drive business growth and profitability. They will enlarge their understanding of how strategic planning, market analysis, revenue strategies, financial projections, and performance measurements are interconnected and essential for achieving long-term success.
Learning Outcomes:
• Strategic Growth Plan: Set the success framework, action steps, financial milestones, and evaluate strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and weaknesses..
• Annual Business Plan: Dive deep into executive summaries, objectives, sustainability considerations, competitive analyses, market insights, revenue strategies, break-even points, and strategic partnerships.
• Financial Plan: Master the art of annual and monthly projections, key performance indicators (KPIs), profit forecasts, and balance sheet analyses.
