Description

Lean construction is a new way to define, design and build, and it can be applied on any project, with any project delivery model. From its history in production and manufacturing, Lean construction applies the same principles to improve productivity. It challenges the generally-accepted belief that there is always a trade-off between time, cost, quality and safety.

This interactive six hour session will include an introduction to LEAN management principles and the Last Planner Scheduling System.

There will be numerous hands on simulations designed to develop an understanding of how flow, variability and waste affect the construction process.

The goal of this session is to introduce new skills and change attitudes, promoting a better, more collaborative approach to Design and Construction.
