Description
In this 3 hour session Scott Morin will be unpacking the difference between leadership and management and why you need to be intentional in both areas as you develop in a position that has direct reports.
For those of you that attended Scott’s talk at the OCA Symposium on April 22nd, this will be a deeper and more practical dive on his one hour talk on “Leading and Managing - they are different and you need to do both”. If you did not attend this talk, it is not mandatory as a prerequisite. OCA has a recording should you want to review in advance.
9-10 AM - What happens when you are willingly put into a leadership position? What are the challenges associated with that and what level of transformation is required of you (because you owe it to your team).
- The 5 levels of leadership
- The 5 dysfunctions of a team
10-11 AM - What does intentional leadership look like?
- What is an intentional culture?
- The people analyzer tool
- What are the 5 things great leaders do?
11-12 AM - What does intentional management look like?
